Wilma Lea Bartlett

Wilma Lea Bartlett of Macomb, formerly of Tennessee, Illinois, passed away at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb, on Sunday, June 2, 2019. She was born January 20, 1923 near Cheyenne, WY., to William and Alma (Wright) Pollock. She was united in marriage to Deward Bartlett in Colchester, on January 20, 1946. He preceded her in death , August 2, 1979.

Wilma is survived by one son: Danny (Sue) Bartlett of Tennessee, one daughter: Dianna (John) Lahnum of Colchester, six grandchildren, Anita Bartlett, Jill (Ben) Beck, Julie Bartlett, of Macomb, Trisha Kemble, Spencer Kemble of Colchester, Kathryn Huber of Macomb, five great-grandchildren: Ross Bartlett, Emmett Beck, Roma Bride, Emery Bartlett-Holsapple, Layla Kemble, one sister: Ruth Carson of Colchester, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers: Keith Pollock, Ross Pollock, and sisters: Maxine Campbell and Eileen Allison.

Wilma was a farm wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Her family was her pride and joy. She loved to sew, cook, mow her yard, and entertain family and friends for a meal. There was always room for another person at the table. Wilma was a member of the Colmar Christian Church. During most of her years, she was the church pianist. Church activities and the church family was a big part of her life.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester with Rev. Dan Orman. Burial will follow the services at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial is to Colmar Christian Church or the Elms Nursing Home.
