Wanda Ruth Carson age 96 of rural Colchester, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021, at her home. She was born September 1, 1924, near Plymouth, Illinois, to William and Alma Wright Pollock. She was united in marriage March 13, 1943 at Monticello, Missouri to Arlo Dean Carson, he preceded her in death, September 19, 2005.
Surviving to mourn her passing are 2 sons: Kenneth (Mary Jo) Carson, Macomb, Bill (Debby) Carson, Colchester, 2 grandchildren: Tyler (Beth) Carson, Renne (Shannon) Welsh, 5 great grandchildren: Carson Welsh, Brooklyn Welsh, Gracyn Welsh, Lauren Carson, and Reid Carson.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 62 years Arlo Dean Carson, infant daughter: Carolyn Carson, 3 sisters: Wilma Lea Bartlett, Maxine Campbell, Eileen Allison, 2 brothers: Keith Pollock and Ross Pollock.
Ruth had been a member and was very active in the Colchester First Christian Church. She was a avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. She loved working on the farm, whether it was for the crops, animals or her garden, she also enjoyed quilting. The thing that brought the greatest joy to her life was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb, with Pastor Sam Kostreva. Friends may view and sign the register book at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester from 8:30 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday. Memorials are to Wesley at home or Argyle Bible Church.
