Vyvan P. Lucas

Vyvan P Lucas age 83 of Macomb, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at Wesley Village Health Care Center in Macomb. She was born February 29, 1936 in Herrin, Illinois, to Ralph and Lena Murray Phelps. She was united in marriage in Herrin, Illinois in 1960, to Arthur Lucas. He preceded her in death September 4, 1979.

Surviving to mourn her passing are 1 Son: Mike Lucas, Sullivan, Indiana, 2 Daughters: Andrea Switzer, Tennessee, Illinois, Anitra (Jack) Roach, Brazil, Indiana, 3 Grandchildren: Dustin Konkler, Jordon Switzer, Keeley Stevens, 2 Great Grandchildren: Daymen Konkler, Clarise Konkler, and many Nieces and Nephews.

Vyvan was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 Brothers, and 3 Sisters.

Vyvan enjoyed traveling, crocheting, listening to music especially gospel, reading. She enjoyed playing the piano. She loved the time she got to go to church. She had attended the Colchester First Baptist Church, Macomb First Baptist Church and at the last the Crossing in Macomb. Vyvan loved all her dogs, they were a large part of her life. Of all the activities she did the time she spent with her family brought her the greatest joy.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 15, 2020, at Jones Mortuary in Colchester with Rev. Ben Ellefritz. Burial will be at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester. Friends may sign the register book at the funeral home from 9:00 to 5:00 Friday. Memorial is to The Crossing Church or Compass Hospice.
