Todd "TJ" A. Knox Jr.

     Todd A. “TJ” Knox Jr. age 36 of Colchester, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023, at MDH. TJ was born April 19,1986 in Worcester, Massachusetts. Surviving to mourn his passing is his parents, Todd (Margaret) Knox, Colchester, IL, Julie (Chris) Kieninger, Houston,TX, his birth mother: Donna Dobson, 1 very special friend, Elizabeth Ussery, 2 sons, Tyler Strange, Macomb, IL, Bo Knox, Colchester, IL, 1 daughter, Harley Knox, Colchester, IL, 2 Grandmothers, Joyce McGaughey, St. Augustine, Fl, Charlotte Knox, Macomb, IL, 1 grandfather: Davey McCoy, Macomb, 2 Brothers, David (Kathryn) Roberts, Oakford, IL, Reed Roberts, Macomb, IL, 1 Sister, Lanaya Knox, Houston,TX, 3 half siblings: Dee, Amanda, Davie, Best Friend, Brett Mann, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

     TJ was preceded in death by grandparents Roger and Judy Wilson, Grandfather: Don Knox, Grandmother: Linda McCoy, uncle: Monte McGauhey, aunt: Vicki LeClaire, cousin: Ross Plate.

     TJ was employed in the building maintenance department at MDH.  He had a passion for cooking, spending time in the garden and greenhouse, camping, fishing, hunting, and woodworking. He was given the honorary title “Director of Maintenance” for the family owned restaurant, The Grill. As a child he loved to learn how things worked even if it meant he had to take it apart. TJ loved to love. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and remembered for his quick wit and humor. Of all the things that TJ did and enjoyed in life the time he spent with his family and friends brought him the greatest joy.

     Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation with the family will be 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, March 10, 2023, at the Jones Mortuary. Friends may view the pictures and sign the register book at the funeral home from 8:30 A.M to 7:00 P.M., Friday. Memorial is to the education fund of Bo and Harley Knox.
