Thomas Tatham Obituary

Thomas “Rex” Tatham age 83 of Colchester, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at Farmington Country Manor, Farmington, Illinois. He was born September 5, 1935 in Macomb, to Thomas Aurther and Ella Grace Stambaugh Tatham. He was united in marriage to Marilyn H. Christie on November 21, 1956 in Macomb. She preceded him in death on January 10, 2004. He was also preceded in death by his parents, 1 Brother and 1 Sister.
Surviving to mourn his passing are 1 Son: Anthony (April) Tatham, of Avon, 1 Brother: Victor Tatham, of Macomb, 1 Sister: Reba Woodworth, of Savoy, 2 Grandsons: Bronson (Carly) Tatham, of Tripoli, Iowa, Brayden Tatham, of Avon, 1 Granddaughter: Gracie Tatham, of Avon, 1 Great Grandson: Brooks Anthony Tatham.
Rex was an Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He was stationed in Alaska and marched in the Alaska Statehood Parade, honoring Alaska becoming the 49th U.S. State in 1959. He owned and operated Lamoine LP Gas in Macomb, later he worked for and retired from Yetter Manufacturing in Colchester.
Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb, with military rites by the Macomb V.F.W. and Macomb American Legion. Friends may sign the register book at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Friday, January 11, 2019. Memorials are to Farmington Country Manor or the local Veteran Transportation Bus. Condolences may be expressed to the family at jonesmortuaryfh.com
