Steven Ray Tones

Steven Ray Tones age 69 of Blandinsville, Illinois, passed away at his home in Blandinsville, on Friday, April 28, 2023.  He was born May 3, 1953 in Macomb, to Raymond and Esther Phelps Tones.

Surviving to mourn his passing are 2 sons: Jeff (April) Tones, Colchester, Brian (Jennifer) Danielson, Colchester, 1 daughter: Jennifer (Ron Jr) Havens, Colchester, 9 grandchildren: Mathew (Emily) Havens, Ben Havens, Brett Havens, Jacob Havens, Madilynn Tones, Mackenzie Tones, Easton Tones, James Danielson, Brydan Danielson, and 1 sister: Janice McCoy, Macomb.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers: Delbert Tones, James Tones, and 1 sister: Berniece McAdams.

Steven was retired after 25 years from Discount Furniture in Macomb.  He had been a paper courier for the Macomb Journal and worked for many local farmers.  He enjoyed watching basketball, drinking green ice tea and was known for his sweet tooth, especially when it came to brownies.  He loved his dogs, Lucky and Lucy along with his cat Bella.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 5, 2023, at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester, with Rev. Aaron Baker.  Friends may sign the register book at the Jones Mortuary from 8:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. Thursday, May 4, 2023.  Memorial is to the family of Steven Tones.
