Sharon Gail (Armstrong) Gray

  Sharon Gail Gray age 58 of Colchester, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025, at her home in Colchester.  She was born February 22, 1966, in Springfield, Illinois, to Tom and Mary Edwards Armstrong.

Sharon is survived by her companion of 25 years, Roger Yetter, Colchester, her aunts and uncles, Judy and Larry Armstrong, Jack and Marilyn Armstrong along with many cousins on both sides of her family.

Sharon was preceded in death by both of her parents, Tom and Mary Armstrong, and her older brother, Steve Armstrong.

Sharon grew up in Rushville and graduated from Rushville High School.  She worked various jobs, over her working career with the majority of time working at Bridgeway of Macomb in the data center as part of the management team.  Sharon loved her pets which over the years included both cats and dogs.  Sharon enjoyed reading, cooking, and shopping especially for shoes.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Jones Funeral Chapel in Colchester, with Rev. Jim Clayton.  Friends may sign the register book at the funeral home from 8:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Friday February 14, 2025 and from 8:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Saturday, February 15, 2025.  Private burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, Macomb.  Memorial is to the McDonough County Animal Shelter.
