Scott Alan Hardisty, age 60 of Carthage, Illinois, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois. He was born September 22, 1962, in LaHarpe, Illinois to Max and Sondra Metcalf Hardisty. Scott was united in marriage, July 2, 1992, in Macomb to Vickie Anne Hickman.
Surviving to mourn his passing is his father: Max Hardisty, his wife of 30 years, Vickie Anne Hardisty, 3 children: Jason and Tara Holt, Mitch and Jana VanBebber, Michael and Brooke Holt, 12 grandchildren: Anthony and Brittany Dooley, Kayla and Isaiah Espinoza, Braxton and Brooklyn Squier, Brooklyn and Dan Louk, Hailey Holt, Logan Holt, Mason Squier, Dakota Shepler, Gracie Holt, Jordan Holt, Carter Holt, Cailer Holt, 11 Great Grandchildren with 2 on the way, 1 brother: David Hardisty, step sister Brenda Callaway, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Scott was preceded in death by his mother: Sondra Metcalf, both sets of his grandparents: Lindsey and Marge (Bouquet) Metcalf Jr., and Erwin and Elgin (Yetter) Hardisty, mother in law: Shirley (Logan) Hickman, and step brother: Rick Callaway
Scott loved rock and roll music, fast cars, hot women, cold beer. He spent 25 years working for the railroad. He was a avid Braves baseball fan and Raiders football fan. Scott and Vickie spent alot of time in the garden or just sitting around looking at recipes. He also loved his chicken noodle dinners. He had a love for all animals especially his dog B and his cat Tulula. Scott had a great love for his in laws Shirley and Lyle Hickman. Scott was very proud to show off his prize possession, his 1966 Caprice. Most of all he loved his wife, kids and grandkids.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 21, 2022, at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester with Kyle Nelson, burial will follow the services at Hutchinson Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, October 20, 2022, at the Jones Mortuary. Friends may view and sign the register book at the funeral home after 8:30 A.M. Thursday.
