Sandra Luan (Wall) Ussery

    Sandra Luan Ussery age 71 of Macomb, formerly of Tennessee, Illinois, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022, at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb.  She was born January 14, 1951 in rural Bushnell, to Alvin Macy and Sadie Belle Hoover Wall.  She was united in marriage, February 14, 1969 in Colchester, to James R. Ussery, her preceded her in death, July 12, 2004.

    Surviving to mourn her passing are 3 sons; James Jr. (Robin) Ussery, Prairie City, Jeremy (Alicia) Ussery, Blandinsville, Chris (Cindy) Ussery, Plymouth, 7 grandchildren: Elizabeth (Andy Kindhart) Ussery, Jeffery (Amber) Ussery, Kim (Cody) Park, Caitlin Ussery, Trevor Ussery, Dylan Ussery, Devin Ussery, 3 great grandchildren: Carter Rossio, River Luan Kindhart, Victoria Rose Park, 2 brothers: Gene Wall, Galesburg, Donnie (Nellie) Wall, Keokuk, 4 sisters: Janet Bundy, Macomb, Dorothy (Harry) Green, Colchester, Donna (Mike) Danielson, Colchester, Ann Thomas, Florida, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

    Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 son: Jeffrey Allen Ussery, 4 brothers: Alvin Wall, John Wall, Jack Wall, and Roger Wall.

    Sandra had been the cook at the Elms Nursing home in Macomb for many years and loved the time she spent with the residents.  She enjoyed, painting fabric for quilt blocks, baking cakes decorated with her home made frosting, needle point, reading, crossword puzzles, and playing games on her computer.  She loved every second that she got to spend with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Sandra’s family was the love of her life.

    Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester with pastor Gunthar Weaver, cremation will take place following the services. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at the funeral home.  Friends may view and sign the register book at the funeral home from 8:30 A.M. Wednesday till time of services.  Family graveside will be held at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester at a later date.  Memorial is to the family of Sandra.
