Richard T Spencer

Richard T. Spencer age 82 of Macomb, passed away at his home in Macomb, Saturday, July 16, 2022, with his family at his side.  He was born June 19, 1940 in Moline, Illinois, to James A. Spencer and Florence Madeline Crum Spencer.   

    Surviving to mourn his passing is 2 daughters: Traci (John Toland) Spencer, Kelly Spencer Bentley, 1 son: James Spencer, 7 grandchildren: Stephanie (Josh Miller) Spencer, Heather (Joe Winter) Baker, Taylor Bentley, Jacob Bentley, Nolan Spencer, 1 great granddaughter: Paysleigh Miller.  

    Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Stepfather Earl Craig, 3 brothers: Mike Spencer, James Spencer, Allen Spencer. 1 half brother: Phil Crum, 2 sisters: Ann Henderson, Elisabeth Spencer and 1 grandson: Bradley Coffey.

    Richard proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  He had worked as a printer for the Macomb Journal, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa Paper and the Kansas City, paper.  He enjoyed fishing with his buddy Buddy Otto Gossage, traveling, watching the Kansas City Chiefs and the Chicago Cubs.  He really enjoyed the times that his family all got together.

    Cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 22, 2022, at the Jones Mortuary with Pastor John Briggs.  Military rites will follow the service by the Macomb V.F.W. and Macomb American Legion at the funeral home.  Friends may sign the register book at the funeral home from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
