Phillip Keefauver age 82, of Colchester, passed away at his home with his family by his side on Saturday, December 30, 2023.
He was born June 14, 1941 in Canton, Illinois to George and Shirley Keefauver. Phillip was united in marriage November 1961, to Berneata Martindale, she preceded him in death June 2000. He was then united in marriage to Ann Duesenberg April 2004.
Surviving is his wife Ann, son: Todd (Cathy) Keefauver, Washburn, Illinois, daughter in law: Lisa Keefauver, California, step son: Kenton Duesenberg, Macomb, step daughter: Kaylie (Tim) Becket, Macomb, grandsons: Ben Keefauver, Clint Keefauver, granddaughter: Lily Keefauver, step grandchildren: Josh Bains, Jennifer Bains, Kellen Becket, Brooks Becket, Myah Becket, great grandchildren: Deric Keefauver, Deegan Keefauver, and 6 step great grandchildren.
Phillip is preceded in death by his parents, first wife, son: Eric Keefauver and brother: Roger Keefauver.
Phillip loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fly fishing, and deer hunting. He built several fly Rods and Muzzle loaded Rifles. Cooking Baking and playing his 5 string Banjo were favorite hobbies also.
Phillip started his career as a Barber, then went to work for Illinois State University, finishing his career with Western Illinois University, as Superintendent of Building services.
Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Baughman Cemetery in Smithfield, Illinois with Rev. Ben Ellefritz. Friends may view and sign the register book at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester from 8:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
