Pearl (Munson) McGlaughlin

Elsie Pearl McGlaughlin age 93 of Colchester, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Macomb Post Acute Care Center in Macomb.  She was born January 30, 1931, in rural Plymouth, Illinois, to Lee W. and Inez G Ware Munson.  She was united in marriage on March 7, 1970, at Bethel Baptist Church to Kenneth McGlaughlin.

Surviving to mourn her passing is her husband Kenneth of 54 years, Colchester, 1 daughter Marcia K. Owsley, Palmyra, MO. 2 step daughters Louann (Dan) Goehl, Quincy, Lisa (Tim) Long, Jacksonville, 1 Step son: Larry D. McGlaughlin, Colchester, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother: Albert Munson, Sister in law: Mariam Munson, 1 sister: Vera I. Vanbrooker, brother in law: Henry Vanbroker.

Pearl was a member of the Colmar Christian Church, and a very active member of the Colchester Senior Citizens.  She was the Office Manager at Allen’s Feed and Grain in Colmar for many years.  Most of all she loved all of her family.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 5, 2024 at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester, with Pastors Dan Ormond and Aaron Baker.  Burial will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.  Friends may view and sign the register book at the funeral home from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
