Patricia "Pat" A (McLain) Nelson

Patricia “Pat” Nelson, age 87 of Colchester, passed away at 7:15 A.M. Friday, April 18, 2025, at Bickford in Macomb.  She was born in Lakewood, Ohio, September 26, 1937 to James and Valma Lais McLain.  Pat was united in marriage October 18, 1956 in Macomb to Jack L. Nelson, he preceded her in death March 20, 2020

Pat is survived by 2 sons: Brent (Lori) Nelson, Laura, Illinois and Richard (Denise) Nelson, Monmouth, Illinois, 2 granddaughters: Ericka (Branden) Lesley and Paige Nelson, 2 great grandchildren: Lexie and Jake Lesley, 1 niece Jackie (Dave) Martin, 1 nephew: Rob (Jan) McLain, and her loving Sheltie, Presley.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother: Bill and sister Marie.

Pat was a graduate of Western Illinois University.  She substitute taught at St. Pauls in Macomb, Macomb School District and West Prairie School District.  She was a Postal Carrier for the Colchester Post Office for over 20 years and was a realtor with Key Realtors in Macomb.  Pat and Jack raised and sold Christmas trees, she loved doing artwork, taking photos, camping, traveling, and going on motorcycle rides with Jack.  She also loved when she and Jack traveled to the beach in Hawaii and Key West.  Pat was also a member of the Colchester Lions and St Pauls Catholic Church in Macomb.  Most of all Pat loved to spend time with family and friends.

Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester.  Friends may view and sign the register book at the Jones Funeral Chapel from 8:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
