Norma Swanson

Norma Lee (Alton) Swanson 91 of Colchester, Illinois passed away Saturday evening, November 21, 2020 in Macomb. She was born March 12, 1929 in Fountain Green, Illinois to Leland and Nina(Osborn) Alton. She was united in marriage to Everett Swanson on July 22, 1951 in Carthage, Illinois. Surviving to mourn her passing is a daughter, Tanna (John Simpson) Swanson of Macomb, Illinois. Norma was preceded in death by parents and Everett on October 8th 2001. Norma spent her life as a homemaker. She loved to crochet and make lime pickles, which she sold during the Labor Day Celebration. She loved the Cubs and enjoyed listening to them play. Norma loved her cats and her grand dogs. Private graveside will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb. Friends may view and sign the register book after 8:30 AM until 6:00 PM on Friday, November 27, 2020 at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester, Illinois. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Colchester Area Relief Effort Food Pantry in Colchester or to the McDonough County Animal Shelter in Macomb.
