Marsha (Burton) Wayland

Marsha Wayland age 66 of Daytona Beach, Florida, formerly of Colchester, passed away with her family at her side at Daytona Beach, on Friday, December, 3 2021.  She was born October 8, 1955, in Macomb, to Keith and Bette Hale Burton.  Marsha was united in marriage August 17, 1985, at Argyle Lake State Park in Colchester, to Joe Wayland, he preceded her in death October 5, 2021.  

 Surviving to mourn her passing 1 daughter; Nikki Burton (Luther Dickson),1 son; Joe T. (Jessica) Wayland, Alabama, 3 grandchildren; Jonathan Cooper, Braylyn and Jaylen, 2 brothers: Steven Burton, Tennessee, Illinois, Stanley Burton, Daytona Beach, Florida, 3 sisters: Debbie (Larry) Summers, Blandinsville, Illinois, Cindy Burton, Daytona Beach, Florida, Penny (Larry) Rickard, Colchester, Illinois, Kyle Williams that was raised in Joe and Marsha’s home, along with many nieces and nephews.

Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, and husband

Marsha was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, She had worked for Colchester School District and West Prairie School District in the kitchen for many years. The time that Marsha spent with her family and grandchildren, brought her the greatest joy in her life.

Graveside services will be held in March at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester, with Pastor Jim Richardson, the date and time will be announced at a later date.  Celebration of Life will also be held at a later date at Bethel Baptist Church.  Jones Mortuary in Colchester is helping the family with arrangements.  Memorial is to Halifax Health Hospice.
