Marsha Diane Anderson

Marsha Diane Anderson age 77 of Colchester, passed away at 6:05 P.M. Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at O.S.F. St. Francis, Peoria, Illinois.  She was born February 5, 1946, in Macomb to Edwin B. and Marjorie L. Lefler Anderson.

Surviving to mourn her passing are 1 nephew: Mahlon (Matthanawee) Anderson, Chesapeake, Virginia, 1 niece: Rachel Anderson, Colchester, 1 great niece: Morgan (Dalton) Phillips, Blandinsville, 2 great nephews: Wesley (Lea) Dodds, Colchester, Azrael Anderson, Chesapeake, Virginia, 3 great great nephews: Eli Phillips, John Dodds, Joseph Dodds, 1 great great niece: Fallon Phillips, Ex husband and friend: Jack Butcher, sister in law: Roberta Anderson, and 2 cousins: Valerie Moss Shoopman, and Nancy Lefler Springer

Marsha was preceded in death by her father, Edwin B. Anderson, her mother: Marjorie L. Lefler Mangel.  Her older brother, Barry Steven Anderson and her signifiant other, Joseph E. Green

Marsha and her mother had owned and operated a Tea Shop and Antique Store in Baltimore, Maryland, for many years.  After they moved back to Colchester, she operated a lawn care service along with house cleaning service and owned many rental properties in the area.  Marsha enjoyed the time she and Joe spent on their pontoon at Argyle Lake.  She was a supporter of Jane Goodall Foundation to help with Gorillas.  Masha loved all her pets and cared for them dearly.   Most of all Masha loved her family and enjoyed every moment she spent with them.

Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 1, 2023, at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester, with Rev. Kathy Crozier.  Friends may sign the register book at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Thursday then from 8:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.
