Marian B. Hendrickson age 98 of Arlington, Texas, formerly of Colchester, passed away, Saturday, February 2, 2019, in Arlington Texas. She was born September 30, 1920, at Lockhart, Minnesota, to Clarence and Ethel Pensinger Hornbaker. She married John R. Hendrickson, March 29, 1939. He preceded her in death on Mary 29, 1979. She spent her life in Minnesota and Illinois. Living in Colchester since 1939. She is survived by one daughter: Mary Ann Curtis of Arlington, Texas, daughter in law: Marilyn Hendrickson, Galesburg, Illinois, six grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, 1 sister: Ruth Harper, and 1 brother: Marvin Hornbaker.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son: Robert Hendrickson, 4 sisters: Norma Caroline, Beulah Hobbs, Leah Breckon, Mildred Hobbs, and 1 brother: Ray Hornbaker.
She was an active member of the Colchester United Methodist Church, teaching Sunday School classes and working as the Financial Secretary for many years, also a member of the United Methodist Women. She was an active member of the Colchester Order of the Eastern Star for 70 years being an officer for most of 50 years. She was also a member of other organization in the Colchester area. She enjoyed traveling and learning Foreign Languages.
Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester, with Rev. Jim Clayton. Visitation with the family will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester. Friends may view and sign the register book at the funeral home after 8:00 A.M. Friday. Memorial is to the Colchester United Methodist Church.
