Lotus Hilton Webb

Lotus Martin Hilton Webb born to Charles and Leta Justus Martin, in Hire Township Oct 18, 1916 left earth Dec 7, 2017 to play organ for the choirs of heaven. She grew up in Tennessee Township on a farm in Centennial neighborhood, graduating Colchester HS 1934.
She married Cecil (Tom) Hilton April 3, 1935 and Carol (Don) Brake and Charles (Sharon) Hilton came along in 1940 and 1941. Tom passed Oct 1967 and Lotus married Kenneth Webb Oct 1974 who died July, 2002.
Lotus was employed by WIU in Computer Services for 20 years. She was a member of Tennessee Unit of Home Bureau Extension; Rebekah Lodge and drill team, Rocking Chair Club, Rio Grande Texas Quilting Guild; Colchester and Macomb Women's Clubs; United Methodist Women volunteering in various activities at the Wesley United Methodist Church of Macomb. In retirement she loved to senior square dance and travel with their Airstream caravan club around the USA, and after Tom's death visited some European points of interest.
She is survived by her children; four grand children; 6 great grand grandchildren; two step daughters, Barbara (John) Zimmerman and Nancy Griffith; 3 step grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren; nephew Alvin (Helen) Gloyd; and niece Linda Gloyd (Troy) Parks.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, both husbands and four siblings.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 11, 2017, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Macomb with Dr. Howard White. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb. Visitation with the family will be from 12 noon to 1:00 P.M. Monday at the church. Friends may view and sign the register book from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester.
