Lois V. (Egerton) Schrodt

Lois V. Schrodt age 84 of Macomb, formerly of Colchester, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023, at the Elms in Macomb.  She was born November 26, 1938, in Colchester to William and Inez Litton Egerton.  Lois was united in marriage December 21, 1956 to Donald (Bud) Creasy, they later divorced.  He preceded her in death April 30, 2018.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, 1 son: Stacey Creasy, 1 sister and 4 brothers.

Surviving to mourn her passing are 1 son: Stanley (Renea) Creasy - Colchester 2 Daughters: Shelley Belden - Colchester, Shawnna Schertz - Macomb, 8 grandchildren: Jeremy (Kathy) Creasy, Alexandra Creasy, Shane (Melissa) Creasy, Shalee (Tim) Painter, Jackie Belden, Jordan (Justin) Ketcham, Dalton Schertz, Kennedy Schertz, 13 great grandchildren, 1 brother: Roger Egerton Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Lois enjoyed gardening, bowling, playing golf, crafting.  She was a seamstress altering many bridesmaids dresses and wedding dresses,  She also made bridesmaid and wedding dresses for her daughters and grandkids.  Lois was and avid supporter of the On Stage Band and could always be found helping out at the Spotlight when they were playing.  She also was at her grandchildren’s events, supporting them.  Lois attended Spoon River College and had worked for the Macomb Journal in the Accounting and Bookkeeping Department for over 20 years.  Most of all Lois family was at the center of her life and loved every moment she spent with them.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, September 7, 2023, at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester.  Friends may sign the register book at the funeral home from 8:30 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, at the funeral home.  Family graveside services will be held at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester at a later date.  Memorial is to Grand Prairie Activity Fund.  Condolences and memories can be expressed to the family at jonesmortuaryfh.com.
