Lois (Hoyt) Curtis

    Lois (Hoyt) Curtis age 101 of Wesley Village, Macomb, Illinois, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021, at Wesley Village Health Care, in Macomb.  She was born November 4, 1919, in McDonough County to Fred and Bertha (Sanford) Hoyt.  On March 17, 1940, she married Alvin J. Curtis who preceded her in death on July 13, 2014.

    She is survived by two children, John Daniel Curtis (Jeanne) of Macomb, and Linda Lou Curtis of New York, three grandsons, six great grandchildren, one sister: Miriam Lefler of Macomb and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Robert Lee Hoyt, Richard Hoyt, Blondel Hoyt and one sister: Dorothy Holstine.

    She and her husband lived and farmed in Hire and Bethel Townships.

    Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Camp Creek Cemetery, with Pastor Sam Kostreva.  Friends may sign the register at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester from 8:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
