Linda Lou (Smock) Beck

Linda Lou Smock Beck, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025, at the Elms Nursing home in Macomb.  She was born to Mark and Forrest (Reed) Smock, on October 23, 1940.  Her parents passed when she was very young.  She was raised by her uncle, Stafford Smock along with her oldest sister Pauline.

She grew up dancing, and appeared on T.V. dancing.  As a teenager, she taught dance to many children.  She married Ron Beck SR. on November 2, 1958.  She then worked with him at Beck’s Sundries and Beck’s Sales and Service.

She is survived by one son: Ron (Sheri) Beck of Colchester and a daughter: Laurie (Randy) Frier of Macomb, one very special nephew: Alan Smock, Colchester.  Four grandchildren: Mindy (Sam) Clegg, Jessica Beck, Zac (Amanda) Powell, and Mark (Hillary) Beck, seven great grandchildren: Jevani Sickels, Jeightlin Sickels, Madison Richmond, Brayden Wright, Sean Powell, Cierra Powell, and Julian Beck.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ron Beck, her parents, her uncle Stafford and siblings: Pauline Swanson, Leland Smock, Merle Jean Smock, and Sharolyn Smock.

Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester.  Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Jones Funeral Chapel in Colchester.  Friends may view and sign the register book at the funeral home from 8:30 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.
