Leila E. (Beall) Webster

Leila E. Webster age 98 of Canton, Illinois, formerly of Colchester, passed away Monday, December 8, 2025, at The Loft Care Center in Canton. She was born July 4, 1927, in Fountain Green, to Lonnie and Eva Daugherty Beall. She was united in marriage to Dick Reed in 1947, he then passed in 1977, later on she married Gaylord Webster in 1983, where he preceded her in death in 2012.

Surviving to mourn her passing is 1 son: Richard Kent (Diane) Reed, Gainesville, Florida, 3 granddaughters: Amie, Kim, Taylor, 1 grandson: Brody, as well as several Great Grandchildren, and Great Great Grandchildren.

Leila was preceded in death by both husbands, 1 daughter: Nancy Reed Hansen, her parents, one brother, and two sisters.

Leila had a career at McDonough Telephone spanning 3 decades, she was also a 50 year member of the order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed shopping, Bingo, and spending time with her friends. Soon after her retirement she and Gaylord took joy in traveling. Most of all she loved the time she spent with her family.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A private Graveside Service will be held at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester, at a later date. Jones Funeral Chapel in Colchester is handling arrangements for the family. Condolences and memories can be expressed to the family at jonesmortuaryfh.com.
