Lee E. Catron age 92 of Macomb, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023, at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb. He was born August 5, 1930, in Bonny Blue, Virginia, to James and Dottie Robinson Catron. Lee was united in marriage May 3, 1954 in Harrogate, Tennessee, to Esther Ann Rucker, she preceded him in death December 8, 2008.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 son: Terry Catron, 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
Lee served his country in the United States Army in 1948 later transferred to the Air Force. He served in the Korean Conflict from 1950 to 1951, Vietnam from 1965 to 1967 and retired from the service in 1969, at Davis Monthan Air Force Base. After his retirement from the Air Force he worked in Monroe Michigan for Chrysler, then for GSA Motor Pool in Parker Arizona, where he also served as a Deputy Sheriff. Lee and Esther then managed mobile home parks in Sierra Vista, Arizona and Lee also drove for North American Moving Company. Lee enjoyed watching John Wayne movies, listening to Johnny Cash, fishing, taking trips in his motorhome, gardening, video taping his family events and telling stories. Most of all Lee loved all the time he spent with his family.
Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at the Jones Mortuary, with Rev. Jim Clayton. Military rites will be preformed at the funeral home after the service by the Macomb American Legion and Macomb V.F.W.. Burial will take place at the Chumley Cemetery in Harrogate, Tennessee at a later date. Friends may sign the register book at the funeral home from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday, May 22, 2023.
