Lana Jean (Allison) Huffman

Lana Jean (Allison) Huffman age 85 of Colchester, Illinois, passed away on June 27, 2026, at Timber Point Health Care Center in Camp Point, Illinois.

Lana was born in Macomb, Illinois on June 29, 1940, on her mothers birthday, to Eugene E. and Lera (McCullough) Allison.

Lana graduated from Colchester High School in 1958.  She married Lyle D. Huffman on November 21, 1958, in Colchester, in a ceremony preformed by Rev. Ernest Louderman.

Lana worked for several years at Bottorff-Allen Insurance Agency in Macomb.  Lyle and Lana owned and operated the Park-N-Putt in Macomb from 1973 - 1990.  After selling the business, they travelled in Il., Mo., and IA, selling homemade wood crafts until 2007.

Lana is survived by her husband of 67 years, Lyle, a son Kelly (Jerilynn Wright) Huffman of Oneida, Illinois, a daughter, Julie (Casher) Catlett of Paloma, Illinois, 4 grandchildren: Jenny (Patrick) Shoemaker of Colchester, Illinois, Corey Huffman of Industry, Illinois, David (Kristyn) Long of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, Allison (Zach) Horn of Rochester, Illinois, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters: Gerry Sims, of Macomb, Illinois, Sue Ann (Tim) Carlson of Frankfort, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Eugene (Marjorie) Allison, Lera (Dean) Fentem and brother-in-law: Earl Sims.

Lana was a longtime member of the Colchester First Christian Church.  She later attended Faith Fellowship Church in Tennessee, Illinois.

Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 3, 2026, at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester.  Graveside service will follow the visitation on Friday at 11:15 A.M. at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester with Rev. David Scott.  Friends may sign the register book at the funeral home from 8:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Thursday, July 2, 2026.  In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Faith Fellowship Church, Timber Point Health Care Center, or Blessing Hospice.  Condolences and memories can be expressed to the family at  jonesmortuaryfh.com.
