L. Lorraine Hurst age 93 of Farmington, Illinois, formerly of Plymouth, Illinois, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017, at Courtyard Estates in Farmington. She was born March 21, 1924, in Macomb, to George and Mary Burton James. Lorraine was united in marriage to Loren Hurst, on June 30, 1948, in Macomb, Illinois. He preceded her in death on November 11, 1994.
Surviving to mourn her passing are 1 Son: Gary (Jeanne) Hurst, Trivoli, Illinois, 2 Grandsons: Christopher (Tracy) Hurst, Mapleton, Illinois, Jeffery (Cheryl) Hurst, Toulon, Illinois, 4 Great Grandchildren: Kaylie, Kelsey, Andrew, Emily, 1 Brother: Benny James, Colchester, and 1 Sister: Georgie (Al) Henderckson, Phoenix, Arizona.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 46 years, 1 Great Grandson: Kyle Hurst, 2 Brothers: Ernest James, Earl James, and 1 Sister: Nancy Richardson.
Lorraine was a member of the Plymouth Baptist Church, she attended and was active in the Colchester First Baptist Church. She enjoyed to quilt, embroidery, and gardening. Most of all she was a mom that loved her family.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester with Rev. Dennis Clements. Burial will follow the services at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11;00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Friends may view and sign the register book at the funeral home after 9:00 A.M. Wednesday till time of services. Memorial is to Alzheimer's Association or Lorgan Trivoli Rescue.
