Kyle T. Whitaker

    Kyle T. Whitaker age 62 of Tennessee, Illinois, passed away April 23, 2022, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.  He was born June 30, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois, to William D. Whitaker and Ida R. Kaiser Whitaker.

    Kyle was united in marriage September 7, 1988 in Keokuk, Iowa, to Vickie Frakes.

    Surviving to mourn his passing are his wife of 34 years, Vickie Whitaker, Tennessee, 4 children: Matthew Whitaker (Kat Lebeck) Blandinsville, Bryant Whitaker (Kelsey), Macomb, Alicia Whitaker (Aaron Shanty), Colchester, Step son: Sidney Thrapp (Page Keene), Colchester, 8 grandchildren: Faxon, Elsie, Cheyenne, Olivia, Mira, Cydni, Auslynn, Ashe, 1 sister: Diana Jones, Colchester, 1 brother: Charles “Butch” Whitaker, Florida, along with several nieces, and nephews.

    Kyle was preceded in death by his parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, and 1 brother: Eric D. Whitaker.

    Kyle had worked at K-mart and Sodexo.  He loved being outdoors, hunting, mushroom hunting, working in the garden and taking care of the lawn.  He also enjoyed long drives in the country and listening to country and old rock and roll music.  The time Kyle spent with his family and especially his grandchildren was his greatest joy.

    Graveside services for Vickie and Kyle will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 1, 2022, at Irwin Cemetery in Plymouth, with Pastor Jason Hamm.   Cremation rites have been accorded..    Memorial is to the family of Kyle.
