Kyle T. Whitaker age 62 of Tennessee, Illinois, passed away April 23, 2022, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. He was born June 30, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois, to William D. Whitaker and Ida R. Kaiser Whitaker.
Kyle was united in marriage September 7, 1988 in Keokuk, Iowa, to Vickie Frakes.
Surviving to mourn his passing are his wife of 34 years, Vickie Whitaker, Tennessee, 4 children: Matthew Whitaker (Kat Lebeck) Blandinsville, Bryant Whitaker (Kelsey), Macomb, Alicia Whitaker (Aaron Shanty), Colchester, Step son: Sidney Thrapp (Page Keene), Colchester, 8 grandchildren: Faxon, Elsie, Cheyenne, Olivia, Mira, Cydni, Auslynn, Ashe, 1 sister: Diana Jones, Colchester, 1 brother: Charles “Butch” Whitaker, Florida, along with several nieces, and nephews.
Kyle was preceded in death by his parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, and 1 brother: Eric D. Whitaker.
Kyle had worked at K-mart and Sodexo. He loved being outdoors, hunting, mushroom hunting, working in the garden and taking care of the lawn. He also enjoyed long drives in the country and listening to country and old rock and roll music. The time Kyle spent with his family and especially his grandchildren was his greatest joy.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Saturday, May 7, 2022, at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester. Friends may sign the register book at the funeral home after 8:30 A.M. Saturday morning, May 7. Services and burial at Irwin Cemetery will take place at a later date.
