Kathy Brown

Kathy Brown, age 71 of Colchester, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024, at Macomb Post Acute Care Center, with family at her side. She was born September 21, 1952, in Peoria, Illinois.  Kathy was united in marriage to Donald Brown in Peoria, on July 27, 1973.  He preceded her in death, January 9, 2023.  She is also preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother.

Surviving to mourn her passing is 2 sons: Donald (Lisa) Brown  Chicago, Robert L. Brown, Bloomington, Illinois, 1 granddaughter: Mariah Brown, her dog, Cuddles, and her beloved neighbors and neighborhood kids. 

Kathy had been a dental assistant and a homemaker supporting her husbands career in the Navy.  Once she and Don moved to Colchester, she enjoyed raising chickens and visiting with the kids of the neighborhood. She always had time to give them treats and baked pies at the kids' requests, pecan being their favorite.  She also loved the time she spent with Cuddles her beloved Yorkie. 

Cremation rites have been accorded.  No services are planned at this time.   Jones Mortuary in Colchester is assisting the family with arrangements.  Condolences and memories can be expressed to the family at jonesmortuaryfh.com.
