John "Mike" M Statler

John Michael “Mike” Statler, age 82, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026, at his home in Tennessee. He was born November 16, 1943, in Macomb, to Frank and Beatrice Herche Statler. He was first married to Kay Torn. He then married the love of his life, Cindy (Simpson) Hughes on August 21, 1990, in Macomb, she survives.

Although he left school to work, he was a member of Macomb High School Class of 1961. He worked for Jerry “Goose” Griffin at “The Ritz:, Leroy Brown & Sons, and lastly he was hired in 1991 at Yetter Manufacturing in Colchester, where he retired in 2006.

Surviving to mourn his passing is his wife, Cindy Statler, Tennesee, 4 children: Frank Statler, Oakville, IA, Mabel Rupe (Josh Bride) Ottumwa, IA, Diane (Brian) Lamma, Macomb, Mike (Samantha) Statler Jr., Macomb, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 3 step children: Robert Wilson, Kiddelina Ortiz and Kelly Hughes (Jessi Paul) as well as several nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents, 8 brothers, 1 sister, and 1 step daughter: Angela
