Jason B. Shepler age 49 of Blandinsville, Illinois, passed away at his home in Blandinsville on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 4:20 P.M.. He was born July 1, 1975, in Galesburg, Illinois to Howard and Peggy Macklin Shepler.
Jason is survived by his father Howard Shepler, Colchester, 1 son: Jacob Shepler, Oreana, Illinois, 2 daughters: Georgia Shepler Lawson, Vermont, Illinois, Elizabeth Rose Shepler, Springfield, Illinois, 2 grandchildren: Anthony Johnson and Laney Shepler, 1 brother: Bryan (Melinda) McFadden, Blandinsville, 1 sister: Elizabeth Kays, Oreana, Illinois, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Jason was preceded in death by his mother: Peggy Macklin, grandparents, Lois and Harold Bud Shepler and Earl and Phyllis Macklin.
Jason had worked construction and roofing for many years. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, spending time around a good bonfire, listening to country music and classic rock. Most of all Jason loved the time he spent with his family and friends and enjoying a good time.
A Celebration of life gathering will be from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the small pavilion located at Spring Lake. Graveside services will be 1:30 P.M. Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester with Pastor Gunther Weaver. Jones Funeral Chapel in Colchester is handling services for the family. Memorial is to the family of Jason.
