James H. Johnson

James H. Johnson age 69 of Plymouth, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at Iowa City Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa.  He was born November 2, 1950 in Macomb, Illinois, to Everett and Rosie Nolan Johnson, he was preceded in death by both of his parents.

    Surviving to mourn his passing are 1 Son: Thomas (April) Johnson, Augusta, 2 Daughters: Kathy (Roy) Cone, Bowdon, Georgia, Kristy Johns, Cairo, Georgia, 8 Grandchildren: Courtney Sadler, Cody Johnson, McKenzie Johnson, Page Johnson, Aaron Cone, Brittany (Scott) Gentry, Cory Cone, Jannell Johns Sterling, 5 Great Grandchildren: Josh Sterling, Charlotte Sterling, Brooklyn Warren, Jamerson Warren, Brandon Sadler, 3 Brothers: Everett (Doris) Johnson, Texas, Rodney (Carolyn) Johnson, Macomb, Ernest (Pamela) Johnson, Plymouth, 4 Sisters: Mabrane Burnett, Plymouth, Judy (Richard) McFarland, Good Hope, Patty (Robert) Canavit, Birmingham, Carol Johnson, Plymouth, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

    James had worked as a baker at the Macomb Bakery, over the road truck driver, mechanic and body and fender repair. He served his county in the United States Army. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and fishing.  He loved the time he spent with his dog Dinky.
