Hazel M. (Inman) Paul

Hazel M. Paul age 90 of Colchester, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at the Macomb Post Acute Care Center.  She was born December 2, 1933, in Carthage, Illinois, to John and Jessie Goodrich Inman.  Hazel was united in marriage on September 10, 1955, to Clyde H. Paul, he preceded her in death on September 19, 2010.

Surviving are 4 sons; Herbert Paul, Rushville, Illinois, Clifton (Sue) Paul, Bluffs, Illinois, Robert (Cindy) Paul, Sanford, North Carolina, William (Pam) Paul, Ft.Madison, Iowa, 1 daughter: Kathy (Jim) Mayhugh, Colchester, 13 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clyde, 2 grandsons: William H. Paul, and William C. Paul, 3 brothers: Paul Inman, Kennith Inman, Ralph Inman, 4 sisters: Mary Mayes, Susie Burton, Millicent Stepp, Inez Worster.

Hazel had worked at the onion ring factory in Macomb, Stave Mill in Hamilton, and as a CNA at the Colchester Nursing Center.  She enjoyed reading, camping, fishing, gardening, embroidering, doing puzzles, and painting ceramic statues.  Most of all Hazel loved her family and enjoyed every moment she spent with them.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester with Rev. Jim Clayton.  Burial will follow the services at Bowen Cemetery.   Visitation with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Friends may view and sign the register book at the funeral home from 8:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
