Hazel M. Gossage age 70 of Colchester, passed away at her home in Colchester with Lisa at her side, on Friday, November 19, 2021. She was born December 25, 1950, in Canton, Illinois, to Otto and Margaret Clemens Gossage. She was united in marriage to Russell Kindhart in 1975 in Macomb, he preceded her in death 2006.
Surviving to mourn her passing is her daughter; Lisa (Russel) Kelley, Colchester, 1 son: Hiram Martin, Macomb, 2 grandchildren: Tommy Frost, Bluffs, Cody Frost, Macomb, 2 great grandchildren: Claire Frost, Caylix Frost, 2 brothers: Otto (Pat) Gossage, Marietta, Danny Gossage, Brooklyn, 3 sisters: Norma Jean Teel, Macomb, Shirley Spencer, Macomb, Helen (Randy Settles) Spencer, Plymouth, a very special companion: Lee Bigsby, Bushnell, and her 4 dogs: B, Bandit, Molly, and June.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 daughter: Amy Martin, 1 granddaughter: Kelly Ann Marie Frost, 2 sisters: Mary Teel, Wilma Gossage and 1 brother: Randy Gossage.
Hazel was the glue to her family always on the phone with her nieces and sisters. She loved to sit at the kitchen table and listen to old country music and talk on the phone. When she wasn’t doing that she enjoyed catching up on soap operas and tv shows. When the weather was nice you could find Hazel on the front porch with Lisa or Kelly visiting and listening to music. She enjoyed doing puzzels, taking rides on the country roads and collecting writing pens. Hazel loved spending time at home with her family, telling stories and cracking a good joke once in a while, she could entertain herself for hours. Hazel had a one of kind soul she never judged anyone she met. She would take in all that wanted her help with wide open arms. Hazel loved every moment that she spent with her family.
Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester with Pastor Gunther Weaver. Friends may view and sign the register book at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester from 8:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Friday, November 26, 2021. Memorial is to the family of Hazel.
