Harry Herbert Lotz age 94 of Colchester, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024 at the Genesis Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa. He was born February 17, 1930, in Springfield, Illinois to Charlie and Bessie Jane Martin Lotz. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Rose John, September 27, 1953, in Macomb.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Elizabeth Rose Lotz, 1 grandson: Mason Joe Lotz, 1 great granddaughter: Kaylynn Frakes, 4 brothers and sister inlaws: Perry and Edna Lotz, Martin and Mary Lotz, Melvin and Shirley Lotz, Bob and Rachel Lotz, 1 half brother: Charles Lotz and 1 half sister: Marion Cherney.
Harry served his country in the United States Army, serving in the Korean Conflict. Harry was a man of strong faith and loved his Lord. He was a member of the Macomb Assembly of God Church. He had traveled on mission trips over 20 times in his life. Traveling to Ruby in Costa Rica, Honduras, Argentina, Fiji, Haiti and many more locations in Central and South America. He traveled many times to Canada to enjoy fishing with family and friends. He also enjoyed hunting of all sorts, picking mushrooms, berries, ect. Harry loved the outdoors. He had worked in construction and a brick mason. He enjoyed being on the farm and taking care of his cattle. Harry loved to work and instilled that in all of his children. Most of all Harry loved his family and enjoyed every moment he spent with them.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 6, 2024, at the Macomb Assembly of God Church with pastor Larry Connour. Burial will follow the services at Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb, with pastor Mike Williams, and Military Rites at the grave by the Macomb V.F.W. and Macomb American Legion. Visitation with the family will be 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the Jones Funeral Chapel in Colchester. Friends may view and sign the register book at the funeral home from 8:30 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday. Memorial is to Macomb Assembly of God Church Missions.
