Greg S. Williams age 60 of Colchester, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb. He was born February 2, 1964, in Macomb, to Dean and Betty Schultz Williams. He was preceded in death by both of his parents. Greg was united in marriage June 15, 1985, on the farm in Fandon to Kim Easley.
Greg is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kim Williams, Colchester, 1 son: Kyle Williams, Springfield, Illinois, Kelsey (Brent) Scheive, Ottawa, Illinois, 7 grandchildren: Madison Williams, Jordyn Scheive, Wyatt Scheive, Charlotte Scheive, Alexys Scheive, Parker Groutage, Gabriel Williams, 2 brothers: Jeff Williams, Industry, Joe Williams, Industry, and 1 sister: Penny Williams, Industry.
Greg was many things, to many different people. He didn’t know a stranger. The outdoors was his favorite between hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, gardening, working on cars, metal detecting for hidden treasures, watching stock and Nascar races, looking for arrowheads or just plain sitting on the porch. He made his family promise they would not buy a Chevy, he was a true Ford man. Greg graduated from Industry High School in 1982, he then attended and graduated from the Wichita Auto Institute in Wichita, Kansas. He owned and operated Williams Service in Colchester. Gregs hands were never idle he was always doing something. Most of all Greg loved his family and especially his grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, January 30, 2025, at the Jones Funeral Chapel in Colchester. Friends may register sign the book at the funeral home from 8:30 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday. Memorial is to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
