Frank W. Alexander

    Frank W. Alexander age 72 of Colchester, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021, at McDonough District Hospital.  He was born August 15, 1949, in Macomb, to John and Velma Waller Alexander.  Frank was united in marriage June 28, 1969, in Colchester, to Janet Rose Ritchey, she preceded him in death February 24, 2017.

    Surviving to mourn his passing are 1 son: Frankie Lee Alexander, Colchester, 1 daughter: Janetta Rose Alexander, Colchester, 1 granddaughter: Jamie Lynn Alexander, Sioux City, Iowa, 1 great grandchild: Rylee Soshana Schwarcz, 1 brother: Gary (Shirley) Alexander, Texas, 1 sister: Bonnie, Mississippi, 1 Brother in law: Benny Ritchey, Colchester, 6 Sister in laws: Sherry (Don) Hightower, Prairie City, Marie (Charles Johnson, Little Elms, Texas, Nurita (Steve) Wrolstad, Caprenteria, California, Vickie (Lowell Melvin, Galesburg, Illinois, Bonnie (Dave) Long, Petersburg, Illinois, Ginger Ritchey, Macomb, and many nieces and nephews.

    Frank was preceded in death by his parents, and wife of 48 years, Janet Rose Alexander.

    Frank served his country in the United States Marine Corps, during Vietnam.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, reading and loved the time working in his wood shop. You could always find him selling his projects during the Colchester Labor Day Celebration in the City Park.  He had been a member of the Macomb V.F.W. and Macomb American Legion, NRA and he attended the Fandon Christian Church.  Frank loved his family and would do anything for them and loved to spend time with them.

    Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester, with Rev. Jim Clayton.  Friends may view and sign the register book at the Jones Mortuary from 8:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 14, 2021, and then from 8:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.
