Evelyn Joan Waddill

Evelyn Joan Waddill age 83 of Macomb, Illinois, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017, at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb. She was born October 15, 1933, in Tennessee, Illinois to Claude and Myrtle Norris Van Fleet. Joan was united in marriage on November 15, 1950, in Colchester to William W. Waddill Sr., he preceded her in death on October 6, 1990. She was also preceded by her parents and 1 Son: Terrance Waddill.
Surviving to mourn her passing are 2 Sons: William Waddill Jr. (Leanne) , Fifty Six, AR., Les Waddill (Melissa), Macomb, IL., 4 Daughters: Connie McEntire, Carthage, IL, Brenda James, Macomb, IL., Cynthia Beckner (Kenith), Colchester, IL., Carol Thurman, Batesville, AR., 10 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, 2 Brothers: Carl Van Fleet, Ewing, MO., George Van Fleet (Shirley), Plymouth, IL., 3 Sisters: Bonnie Maness, Tarkio, MO., Patty Cook, Plymouth, IL., and Luan Johnson (Sam), Plymouth, IL.,
Joan had worked at Cooper Industries in Macomb for many years along with helping farm on the family farm. She loved to oil paint, read, crocheting, spend time on her computer, visiting with friends and family. She loved to raise a big garden on the farm and from that can as much as she could. Joan loved living on the farm, where she would be outdoors, spending time with her dogs, that she loved dearly. Most of all, she loved her family, and all the times she spent with them.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 27, 2017, at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester with Pastor Jim Richardson. Burial will follow the services at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester. Visitation with the family will be 1 hour prior to the services on Thursday at the funeral home. Friends may view and sign the registor book at the funeral home after 12 noon till 5:30 P.M. Wednesday. Memorial is to Bethel Baptist Church. Condolences may be expressed to the family at jonesmortuaryfh.com
