Evelyn Franks, of rural Colchester, died of heart failure on October 13, 2024 at her home.

Evelyn Christine Mayes was born January 9, 1939, at Medina, Ohio, the daughter of James R. and Laura Mayes of Medina County, Ohio.  She married Edwin Franks on September 11, 1958 in Medina, Ohio.  He survives.

There will be no services.  Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Macomb, Illinois.  Jones Mortuary of Colchester is in charge of arrangements. Condolences and memories can be expressed to the family at jonesmortuaryfh.com.
