Errol Howard Toland

  Errol Howard Toland, 82, of Macomb, Illinois, passed away peacefully, Saturday, November 8, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his family.

He was born November 10, 1943 to Betty Roberts (Nardin) Toland and Max Nardin. They proceed him in death.

He is survived by his children: John Toland, Deborah (Dan) Cousins and Jamie Toland, Grandsons: DJ Toland, Trenton Toland and Scott Cousins.  Also surviving are his three brothers: Edward (Brenda) Toland, Ernest (Susan) Toland and Ross Toland.

Errol attended the Jacksonville School for the Deaf.  Everyone that knew Errol, knew he had a love for John Deere tractors.  He started his career as a tractor mechanic working for John Deere at age 16.  He could diagnose an engine just by the feel and take apart and engine and put it back together again.  He also had a love for cars.  He won many trophies at local car shows.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  The family will host a Celebration of Life Reception on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. at the Macomb V.F.W..  Private family burial will take place at Industry Cemetery at a later date.  Jones Funeral Chapel in Colchester is assisting the family.  Memorial is to Jacksonville School for the Deaf and can be mailed to the family or to Jones Funeral Chapel, Box 352, Colchester, Illinois.
