Eleanor Pearl Carson, age 100 of Colchester, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020, at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb. She was born August 30, 1920, in Saginaw, Michigan to John and Dora Carle Konieczka. She was united in marriage August 14, 1940 in Palmyra, Missouri to Herbert AZ Carson, he preceded her in death on June 23, 2005.
Surviving to mourn her passing are her three sons: Herbert Roger (Mary) Carson, Harrison, Arkansas, Dennis Lynn ( Debbie) Carson, Colchester; and Randall Fay (Susan) Carson, Colchester. 10 grandchildren; Rebekah Daniels, Patti Sikes, Paul Schulte, Chris Carson, Aaron Carson, Tammy Carson, Jamie Carson, April Carson-Hill, Brad Carson, and Adam Carson. Also surviving are 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Herbert AZ Carson, one daughter, Kay Schulte, and one brother Dick Reed.
Eleanor was a farm wife who lived in the Colchester area most of her life. She enjoyed reading, cooking for family meals, decorating for Christmas, spending time in the garden and had a special place in her heart for many animals. She was known as one of the best cooks in the community. Eleanor was a born again christian, while attending churches in the area she spent time working with many youth programs.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Macomb, Il. with Pastor Larry Rickard. Friends may view and sign the register book from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester. Memorial is to the Elms Nursing Home.
