Edwin W. Ham

Edwin W Ham age 68 of Macomb, passed away Friday, February 14, 2020, at O.S.F. Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. He was born April 16, 1951, in Macomb, to Ray and Linnie Williams Ham. Edwin was united in marriage March 26, 1977, in Colchester to Lynda Wilson.

Surviving to mourn his passing is his wife of 42 years Lynda Ham, of Macomb. His Children, Stacey (Dale) Alexander-Markley, of Macomb, William Alexander and partner (Terry Chasteen), of Colchester, Jennifer (Tyler) Hennings, of Macomb, 3 Grandchildren: Ashley Alexander, Bailey Alexander, Cy Hennings, 2 Step Grandchildren: Richard (Angel) Markley, Beth (Jamie) Duncan, 3 Great Grandchildren, 3 Step Great Grandchildren, 1 Brother In Law: Rick Wilson, of Colchester and Nieces and Nephews.

Edwin was preceded in death by his parents, 1 Brother, 1 Sister, and 1 Brother In Law.

Edwin served his country in the R.O.T.C. at Western Illinois University where he became a 2nd Lieutenant, after which he joined the Illinois National Guard. He was a 1969 graduate of Macomb High School and a 1973 graduate of Western Illinois University. He owned and operated the Macomb Bakery along with his wife and kids. He became a Tool and Dye maker at McGraw Edison in Macomb and then at Siemens in Burlington, Iowa, where he retired. Edwin loved riding motorcycles. First owning a Gold Wing and then later owning a Harley Davidson. He was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders of America and he became Motorcycle Safety Instructor for the State of Illinois. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, children and grandchildren. Also, by his beloved dog Hank and his cat Primrose.

The family will host a Celebration of Life for him from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. Sunday, February 23, 2020, at the Macomb V.F.W., where a luncheon will be served. Jones Mortuary in Colchester is handling arrangements. Online Condolences may be expressed to the family at jonesmortuaryfh.com
