Edith L. Pursell age 94 of Macomb, Illinois, passed away at 11:52 A.M. Monday, October 31, 2016, at McDonough District Hospital, in Macomb. She was born May 23, 1922, in Blandinsville, Illinois to George Leslie and Lois White Kreps. Edith was united in marriage on July 27, 1940 in Kahoka, Missouri, to Joseph E. Pursell, he preceded her in death on August 3, 1981.
Surviving to mourn her passing are 4 Sons: Damon (Wanda) Pursell, Jerry (Kaye) Pursell, Jackie (Janna) Pursell, Brad (Cheryl) Pursell, 3 Daughters: Phyllis (Richard) Rowland, Renee (Robert) Hainline, Tama (Keith) Russell, 25 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren, 7 Great Great Grandchildren, 3 Brothers: Donald Kreps, Kenneth (Patsy) Kreps, Howard (Diana) Kreps, 2 Sisters: Madelyn Hocker, Marilyn Kreps, along with several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 Son: Edwin Pursell, 1 Daughter: Jolene Pursell, 1 Granddaughter: Lori Pursell, 2 Brothers: Robert Kreps, Floyd Kreps, and 3 Sisters: Evelyn Doney, Maxine Dark, Wilma Kelly.
Edith was a homemaker, along with being a very devoted Mother, and Grandmother to her family.
Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 4, 2016, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Joliet, Illinois, with Bro. James Candler. Visitation with the family will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, November 3, 2016, at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester. Friends may view and sign the register book at the funeral home after 9:00 A.M. Thursday.
