Dorothy L. Beck

Dorothy L. Beck age 87 of Colchester, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018, at Wesley Health Care, with family at her side. She was born September 7, 1930, in Colchester to Ivan E. and Mary E. Waddill Kipling. Dorothy was united in marriage to Ralph W. Beck on August 22, 1948, in St. Augustine, Illinois.
Surviving to mourn her passing is her husband Ralph of 69 years, 3 Sons: Greg (Lisa) Beck, Wendell Beck, Steve Beck, 1 Daughter: Kathy Beck Irish, 11 Grandchildren, and 17 Great Grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, 1 Son: Rick Beck, and 1 Son In Law: Ralph Irish.
Dorothy and Ralph owned and operated the Fandon General Store and she was the Post Master for Fandon for several years at the general store. Later Dorothy and Ralph moved to Colchester and owned and operated Beck’s Sundries. Most of all Dorothy’s greatest love was the time she spent with her family.
