Donald W Barnes

Donald W. Barnes age 71 of Lewistown, passed away at 5:30 P.M Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at the Elms in Macomb, Illinois. He was born December 31, 1953 in Peoria to Joseph and Esther Hoyt Barnes. Donald was united in marriage to Anita Bohlander in January of 1974 in Macomb, and was later divorced in 2001.

Donald is survived by 2 children. 1 son: J.J. (Brandy) Barnes, Macomb, 1 daughter: Danielle Barnes, Bushnell,  1 brother: David (Trish) Barnes, Blandinsville, a very special companion: Barb Jenkins, Lewistown, 7 grandchildren along with lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers: Joe Barnes, Raymond Barnes, and Ricky Barnes, a nephew: Josh Barnes, and sister in law: Cindy Barnes.

Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He was very intrigued by computers as he got older. He took a deep interest in programming the computers he used. He loved building various things such as cabinets, furniture and anything else he could get his hands on. Donald also enjoyed when he got to sing karaoke. He was retired for a long time which allowed him to get involved in these new hobbies he took on.
