Darlos Joan (McKee) Hall

Darlos Joan Hall went to be with her Lord and Savior, July 5th, 2024, at 10:10 P.M., with her family by her side.  She was born February 19, 1934, to Elmer and Mildred (Cook) McKee in rural Tennessee, Illinois.  She married the love of her life, (Darrell) Gene Hall on June 28, 1952.  They celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary on June 28, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister: Norma Walley and a niece Barbara Roskamp.

Surviving to mourn her passing are her husband Gene, 4 children, Brad (Janet) Hall of Vermont, Il., David (Annie) Hall, of Colchester, Il., Beth (David Sr.) Crabb of Colchester, Il., and Tim (Kim) Hall of Colchester, Il., 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.  One sister: Nancy Christy of Marysville, MI., one brother in law: John Walley of Macomb, and several nephews and nieces.

Darlos and Gene lived in and around Colchester, moving to their farm in 1962 where thy have lived for 62 years, until her passing.

Darlos was a farm wife and she also worked outside the home until her retirement.  They were active members of the Bethel Baptist Church, where they saw all their children and grandchildren come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  Her life long passion was her love for animals, caring for all creatures who needed her help.  They gave her so much joy which she loved to share with others.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester with Pastor Gunther Weaver and Pastor Tim Fross.  Burial will follow the services at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester.  Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.  Friends may sign the register book at the funeral home from 8:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
