D. Ruth Sappington

D Ruth Sappington age 88 of Macomb, passed away September 30, 2017, at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb. She was born June 3, 1929, in Media, Illinois to Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Corley. Ruth was united in marriage September 17, 1949, in Stronghurst, Illinois, to John P. Sappington. He preceded her in death on July 24, 2000, she was also preceded by her parents, and 2 Brothers.
Surviving to mourn her passing are 1 Son: Jay P. Sappington, Macomb, Illinois, 1 Daughter: Jayne A. Sappington, Lubbock, Texas, 6 Grandchildren: Sarah, Seth, Jared, Zachary, Jessica and Kaitlin, 5 Great Grandchildren, 3 Sisters: Doris E. Mason, Dorothy Lindell, and Gwen.
Ruth was a member of the Doddsville United Methodist Church, and retired from the Department of Labor with the State of Illinois.
Private Graveside services will be held at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb. Friends may sign the register book at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Thursday.
