Clifford Lee Raymond

Clifford Lee Raymond age 85 of Colchester, passed away at his home in Colchester, Friday, May 15, 2020. He was born March 5, 1935 in McDonough County.

Clifford served in the Army National Guard from August 1957 to August 1964. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Standard, June 28, 1959, she preceded him in death in 2011. He had been employed by the city of Macomb and worked at the Water plant for 31 years. He was a member of the Macomb Assembly of God Church for over 55 years. Clifford was a hard worker, working two jobs in his earlier life. He loved cars and had several he showed at local events. He was also known to trade personal cars and often would say “this is the last one.” He also had a great sense of humor and was quite the talker.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 1 son: Monty and 1 brother: Tuck.

Clifford is survived by his children, 1 daughter: Marce (Raymond) Kamps (Tom) and 1 son: Kirk Raymond., 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 2 brothers: Don (Carolyn) Rich (Betty) and special friends Ma and Sis.

Private Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 21, 2020, at Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb, with Rev. Chuck Peterson. Friends may view and sign the register book at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester from 8:30 A.M. to 6:30 P.M. Wednesday, May 20. Memorial is to Colchester Senior Center.
