Cheyenna D. Decker

Cheyenna Destiny-Marie Decker of Colchester, Illinois, passed away Tuesday January 21st, 2025 in her home at the early age of 23 years old, four days before her 24th birthday. She was born on January 25th, 2001 in Nashville, Tennessee to Tamara Golden and Johnny Beacham.

    Cheyenna was a shining light in everyones lives, there wasn’t anyone she disliked. She was loved by so many and loved so many more. Cheyenna was very devoted to her faith, strong willed and never feared death. She told her sister that she trusted God to decide when it was her time. She enjoyed singing, dancing around, acting silly and making sure her nieces and nephews feel all the love she had to give. She worked at Casey’s and greeted everyone that walked through the door with a smile that touched the soul. She was nicknamed "Smiley" by some of her favorite customers because its all they ever seen. She showed the most pure radiating kindness that we should all strive to possess and touched the hearts of more than she knew. She loved going on walks, swimming, reading, and writing, but above all she loved her family and her God. Cheyenna will survive forever in our hearts and will be remembered as a beacon lighting the way to show kindness and love.

Cheyenna was preceded in death by her daughter: Ella Marie Decker to which her heart never healed.
