Cheryl L. Pursell

Cheryl L. Pursell age 56 of Blandinsville, passed away Friday, August 21, 2020, at her home in Blandinsville.  She was born February 21, 1964, in Joliet, Illinois to Billy and Joann Burke Hand.  Cheryl was united in marriage to Brad Pursell, May 19, 1990, in Channahon, Illinois.

    Surviving to mourn her passing is her husband of 30 years Brad Pursell, Blandinsville, 2 Sons: Tyler Pursell, Blandinsville, Zachary Pursell, Blandinsville, 3 Step Sons: Jeremy Pursell, Matthew Pursell, Princeton, Travis Pursell, 2 Sisters: Carol Dyer, Morris, Illinois, and Janis Hand, Mississippi.

    Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, and 1 Sister: Linda Hand.

    Cheryl had been a school teacher, guidance Counselor, office manger for a cable t.v. company, worked for Jemco engineering, and owned and operated the Java Shop, coffee shop.  She felt education was a very important part of everyones life.  She enjoyed reading, social media, crafting, music, gardening, cooking, baking.  The time she spent with her family brought her the greatest joy.

    Cremation rites have been accorded .  Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester.  Friends may view and sign the register book at the funeral home from 8:30 A.M.
