Charles D. Blue

Charles D. Blue age 89 of Blandinsville, Illinois, passed away at 3:30 A.M. Sunday, March 27, 2016, at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb, Illinois. He was born April 18, 1926, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Charles R. and Lucy M. Thompson Blue.
Charles was united in marriage on January 9, 1944, in Vermont, Illinois, to Nelda Curless, she preceded him in death on June 19, 2004. He is also preceded by his parents, 1 Grandson: Andrew Blue, 1 Brother: Herbert Blue, 2 Sisters: Maxine Groves and Lois Speed.
Surviving to mourn his passing are 2 Sons: Ron ( Laurel ) Blue, Colchester, Steve ( Sandy ) Blue, Carthage, 4 Grandchildren: Sean (Debbie) Blue, Spartanburg, South Carolina, Aaron (Angela) Blue, El Campo Texas, Ryan (Shannon) Blue, Carthage, Heather (Perry) Henkes, Navarre, Florida, 2 Step Grandchildren: Jana (Shaun) Gamage, Macomb and Adam (Julie) Brines, Macomb. 11 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
Charles was a lifetime farmer, he enjoyed watching dirt track racing, gardening and caring for his livestock. Most of all, he loved all the time he spent with his family.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester with Rev. Bob Tillman. Burial will follow the services at the Vermont Cemetery in Vermont, Illinois. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Funeral home. Memorial is to the Fountain Green Fire Department. Friends may view and sign the register book at the funeral home after 10:00 A.M. Tuesday. Condolences may be expressed to the family at jonesmortuaryfh.com
