Carol L. Ellis

Carol L. Ellis, of Galesburg, IL, age 82, died February 12, 2017, in the Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville, IL. She was born June 29, 1935 in Galesburg to Arthur “Tim” and Alma (Rippetoe) Myers.
She married Kenneth Hokanson in 1956. She later married William S. Ellis in 1975 who died in 2002. Surviving are a son Ron Hokanson of Utica, Michigan and a granddaughter, Cassandra Hokanson also of Utica. Also surviving are a niece, Linda (Underwood) Phillips and a great niece, Wendy Phillips, both of Galesburg. She was preceded in death by a son, William “Billy” Hokanson; her parents; a brother, Del Myers; and a sister, Janice Underwood.
Mrs. Ellis worked in the field of dentistry for more than 30 years as a consultant with more than 500 practices throughout the United States. She was a member of the Knoxville Woman's Club.
Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester with Rev. Aaron Baker. Friends may sign the register book after 9:00 A.M. Monday, May 8, 2017, at the Jones Mortuary, Colchester, IL. Memorials may be made to the following: The Knoxville Woman's Club or the Knox County Nursing Home.
